Chemo Resumes Today

Please pray that her body is tolerable of today's chemo administered through her new port as it works to heal our sweet Robynn.

Ephesians 4:16
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (NIV)

A New Hurdle

Well, the port might be "in", but it's causing a pain of its own for Robynn. My understanding is they literally have to make a "pocket" within her muscle/tissue in her chest to accommodate the device. The soreness comes every time she lifts her arm, turns her neck etc. Amazing how everything connects within our bodies and how something like this reminds us so vividly:( She is on a rigid schedule for pain meds to try and stay ahead of the game and hopes this heals in a hurry! Her tummy problems have subsided, leaving room for this new intrusion to have the spotlight all to itself;)

Please continue to pray for peace and comfort!

Kevin Antongiovanni

Please keep our dear friend Kevin in your prayers. He had an accident while playing with his children and sustained a fractured vertebrae. He has seen a Neurosurgeon and surgery is not necessary, but he will be wearing one of those fancy Halo's for a few months.
I bet you look HOT Kev!;)
Keep his wife Tess and children Natalina,Gino and Olivia in your prayers as well.

S

From Pic to Port

This morning Robynn was scheduled to have her Pic line removed and a Port put in. Her chemo treatments, blood draws and any IV meds will continue to be administered through her new gadget. She was sedated and is in the recovery room now, but the Dr. told Brian that everything went smoothly.
Your prayers are working because she had a pleasant day yesterday...keep up the good work "Army Goodell"!

Thank You River Cats!

Thank you to all who showed up to the River Cats game last night! I hope you each got to steal a big hug or hello from "Our Girl". Brady was quite the All-Star throwing out the 1st pitch of the game and then meeting Mike Schmidt. I was quite impressed with the gorgeous stadium and enjoyed seeing many of the West Sac gals. Congrats to Tim Sloane who caught a foul ball with one hand (my guess was a beer in the other?:) and to his wife Dana who put last night together and was our FABULOUS photographer...THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Now to an update on Robynn. She held her own at the game, but all the excitement caught up with her later in the evening/morning. She is still having tummy problems and requires your BIG prayers!!!

Pray On!
Love to all,
S

Up and At'em Army Goodell!!!

"Our Girl" needs some extra prayers NOW!
She has really been struggling with abdominal pain that has been so great that she has returned to her pain meds for relief. The pain has caused her to retreat to her comfy chair with her constant companion mousse, adorning her lap. She has been so excited about not needing any pain medication the past few weeks and is a bit discouraged. However, she still has that smile that I can even hear over the phone;)
It is undisputed that Robynn has changed us forever and how we view many things. I was especially reminded of her grace and courage when I was sick these past few days. I don't mean puny, I mean Sick(with a capital S;) As I agonized, moaned, groaned and whined(I'll leave out the gory details) I was struck by this single thought,"how did Robynn endure such pain and suffering for months on end and I can't handle 4-5 days"? What a WUSS, I thought! I was embarrassed in my own room with no one watching! My next thought...
Put your BIG Girl Panties on and deal with it!!!

On a serious note, please give Our Lord some extra prayer time for Robynn. You always seem to know exactly what to say, so get to it!

Hebrews 12:2-3
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (NIV)

PS. Please keep Cathy Powers in your prayers as she is starting her fight against breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. Please include her children, Michael and Megan in your prayers as well.

"We Could Not HOPE for Anything Better"

Those were the words that came from the MDA Doctors mouth yesterday.
Once again, we have "asked" and HE has "answered" using a megaphone!

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. (KJV)

His "handiwork" is ever present and magnificent as he works in Robynn!!!
The fluid that had surrounded her stomach and liver has disappeared and all tumors responded by shrinking except for one that stayed the same. They are sticking to the current regimen of chemo since her body receives it so well.

The emotions that fill me are indescribable, so I leave you with this...
I love you and ALL and can NEVER thank you enough for "Standing Strong" and being so diligent in not just serving our wonderful Savior, but "Our Girl"!!!!

Pray On!
XOXO,
S

Hola!

Hi guys!
Just wanted to let you know that we got into Houston last night. We had an absolutely wonderful time in Mexico. My brother and sister-in-law are the most amazing hosts and I am eternally grateful to them for the most luxurious vacation I have ever had. They treated me like a princess and I just may turn into a spoiled brat if they are not careful. I read, exercised, collected shells with my children, ate, went to church, and relaxed. Brady's birthday was "superb" (his word choice). Now, tomorrow I have some uncomfortable tests ahead and I will use my visualization techniques to place me back on the beach eating fresh ceviche and drinking a virgin pina colada. Thank you for all of your prayers. This is a trip that I never thought I would be strong enough to take and I owe it all to you and God.
Love, Robynn
