Cal's Last Day of HS

This is a bittersweet day for both of us. When I hugged her and tried to convey my sadness she quickly separated from me, because she didn't want to be crying before she even got to school. Sorry...my bad. She graduates next Wednesday and Uncle Brian will be there of course. I'm sure that's where "mom" will have her total breakdown. I am grateful that she wants to continue to live at home and get her general ed courses out of the way and then go to nursing school. This past year has had an extreme affect on our family and Cal wanting to become a Nurse is one of the positive outcomes. There will be more blessings, I have no doubts:)

Love to all!
Have a Safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Prayer Request from Kelly K

kelly k said...
Once more, I call upon Army Goodell to pray for a dear friend. Please keep Karen, Owen, and brand new baby girl Purvis in your prayers. Their husband/father Eric was a navy helicopter pilot that become our dear friend when he and my husband went through pilot training in 1997. Sadly, Eric was one of 5 killed in a helicopter crash this week in San Diego. He and his wife Karen just celebrated the birth of their baby girl 3 weeks ago. This Memorial Day... when we spend treasured moments with our loved ones, please take a moment to think of this family and lift them up in prayer. Pray for this brand new mom who is now faced with teaching her baby girl how to love a daddy she never got to know.

Kelly K,
I cannot tell you how it warms my heart to know when you stumbled across this blog you had never prayed. Now, not only do you pray, but you encourage others to join in and ask for "back-up". What a wonderful thing! Thank you Kelly K.... we've got your "back".
Love to you always, S

2 Corinthians 8:7
You do well in everything else. You do well in faith and in speaking. You do well in knowledge and in complete commitment. And you do well in your love for us. So make sure that you also do well in the grace of giving to others.

I will be leaving town and without a computer til Sunday. If there are any prayer requests that are immanent please text/call my cell (661) 978 5774 and I will get in contact with Brian and have him post them.
Mothers day was a rough one, but we survived. It was nice to have Brady stay the night at Aunties and wake up to one of his famous back rubs! That kids got talent!!!;) We went to the cemetery (still waiting on headstone)and ran into Tracy & his kids who were visiting "Our Girl" as well. She got spoiled with her favorite 2 kids, starbucks, balloons,a pinwheel, tulips, and a "Diva" stuffed animal.
Took a Mother's day balloon to Kelly and sat on her bench and cried for being without my two dear friends.

Ecclesiastes 7:10
Don't long for "the good old days," for you don't know whether they were any better than today.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

To all you SUPER FABULOUS Moms....Have a wonderful day!
I definitely celebrate being a mom of my extraordinary kids, but am saddened by the loss of some very special Moms these past few months. My life as a Mother is my most rewarding role and I know it was the same for Robynn and Kelly. Please pray today for the children that will live the rest of their lives without their mom and that their memories will keep them wrapped in her love always.

Enjoy your day Chicks!!!!!

Kelly K. we are praying for your entire family. I can't imagine my life without my Mom...I'm so sorry. I'm sure Robynn and Kel represented Army Goodell and met Peggy at the gate and got her acquainted with His Glorious Kingdom:)

Last I heard, Larry was having some issues that were keeping him from coming home. Please pray that those are resolved and he is home soon!

Miss Denise, we are still praying!

Hebrews 4:16
So let us come boldly to the throne of our Gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.

A note from Kim...

Hi All :)
Wow, time flies! I told you all I was giving extra time and such for you to heal and be ready to work on a special memory book for Brian, Brady and Hailey... well... it's now feeling like time to wrap it up! The goal for any last entries will be Thursday, May 14th. I will plan to finish it up shortly after that so that it can be delivered to the family :)
Please feel free to contact me with any questions: kfunkcreates@sbcglobal.net
All details are listed at http://raisingforrobynn.blogspot.com (see post listed as "For the Love of Robynn") and remember, the most important part is size - pages need to be 8 inches by 8 inches or smaller... or they won't fit!
Thank you to all of you who have submitted something already ~ they are all very special!

Relay Today

We set up last night in the pouring rain and strategically placed all our tents/canopy's:) It looks like the heavens will smile on us today and not make us walk in the rain!
Cal, Tanner and I are dressed and loading up the car with more supplies for the day. We will stay out there until about 3pm. Then we have to get Cal ready for her last prom(tear). I
will return once her photo session is over and she is off. I am soooo excited for the Luminaries! They are my favorite part! It's like being a kid at Christmas, looking for the names you honored
and finding them. It truly is amazing!

Come join the fun if you are able!

Relay for Life is Tomorrow!!!

Please pray that the rain will stay away while we round the CSUB track all day and night. We'll walk regardless, but would rather have decent weather:) Don't forget to look for the TOO MUCH FUN CLUB on the Northwest corner. We are wearing Green shirts with white print that read "Kelly's Keepers". I just heard from Tracy, and Larry is out of ICU and doing better. I am excited to meet Tracy tomorrow at Relay. If you happen to be out there tomorrow, hunt me down... I'd love to hug any and all members of "Army Goodell"

Just in case you were wondering.......I raised over $2,000.00 for Relay! Not too shabby! Just like everything else, I could not have done it without my faithful and trusted ARMY!!! You ROCK!!
We will find a cure! And we will put an end to others suffering!

Pray On!
