A Quick Prayer for Uncle Sonny

He just began his Megadaose of cytoxin(heavy duty chemo) and we would like the side effects to be minimal. He is gearing up for his bone marrow transplant during Thanksgiving.
Please give a "shout out" to Our Dear Lord on our Uncle's behalf.

PS Margarita's, wine, martini, Odoul's or a fancy glass with H2O to Robynn;))))) CHEERS!

Cartwheels and back flips are in order!!!!

Psalm 16:1-2
Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing."

Good news...NO PAIN!

Bad news...she is EXHAUSTED!!! Robynn is having a rough time kicking "nap time;) Her only outing Sunday was church and then it was back to bed for a few hours. She managed a short picnic with Hailey and then back down she went. Her lack of energy make the smallest of things, like climbing the stairs a main event. Brian said they are relieved that this is their hurdle right now and they are not competing with pain. So, it seems to be a blessing. Thank you Jesus!
Texas is just around the corner and so is a break from this wicked stuff...Hooray!

2 Corinthians 12:9
But [God] said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Love you all!

Jonah is with the Lord

This came from Jonah's family....

Dear loved ones,

As difficult as it is to write this morning, I know you all need to know what has taken place. Scott and Amy knew it was time to let Jonah go peacefully to his heavenly Father. We all know he has been in the arms of Jesus all this time. They were able to spend sweet moments with him and hold him close before they said good-bye. Jonah's grandparents and aunts and uncles were also able to see him and all spend time in his room where he and his parents have been for months. We appreciate, once again, all your prayers for Jonah's family during this difficult time. Thank you and God Bless you all for loving and caring

Chemo for Thursday is a GO!

Miss Robynn has had an annoying little cough that gets especially bad when she lies down and does not promote sleep. There was concern about her lungs and her Dr. wanted to get a
chest x-ray Monday. If the x-ray did not come back "clear", they would cancel chemo.
Good news soldiers, IT'S CLEAR!!!!!!! Hooray!
Who ever thought we'd be cheering for chemo???.....

Our weekend as Jet fans was a bit disappointing, as they lost in overtime:( but it was a super exciting game to be at.
The day before, in Modesto, the girls went shopping and the guys went golfing. After we all hooked back up, Erin and Matt treated us to homemade carnitas with ALL the trimmings that were out of this world! Stuffed out of our minds with all that yumminess we then flopped down to the couches, snuggled up and watched Baby Momma. Talk about funny! Boy did we laugh!
Before leaving for Oakland we attempted a family picture. Notice I used the word "attempted"? You can figure it out;)
That was pretty much it, just some good ol, FFF!(Forced Family Fun)

Now, we are all back to our respective cities with more wonderful memories to cherish!
Please keep Cal in you prayers. Nothing serious at all, just that she gets her wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and she is being put under anesthesia which is always a little scary.

Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Peace be with all of you!

Tanner Update

Well, it went down just like they told us it would.
Cut cast off
X-ray
Recast(in neon hot pink;)
The x-ray showed that the healing is a slow process and there would be many more weeks in a cast. We will repeat today's appt in 3 weeks...repeat again and again til it is healed.
Tanner was a hit with the staff and patients with his hair spray painted neon green, with matching shirt and long socks to show his school spirit for SHS's Homecoming week(today's theme...Neon).
Tomorrow is the "50's" and he's debating on wearing a poodle skirt. I told him he could totally pull it of...we'll see???
Just like his Aunt Robynn, his spirit is unshakable and his outlook is ultra-positive.

Thank you for all your prayers.
Love you all!

Receive Brad With Open arms Dear Lord...He Awaits

I am sorry about not getting the previous post to you earlier and I emailed our dear friend Kim to tell her it what not intentional. The following is from Kim;

Shelley,
Thank you so much. I would NEVER think that – I promise!!! We lost Brad… well he is on life support for organ donation, but basically he is gone. It is beyond heartbreaking and I so hoped that prayer was work, but his injuries were just too big. Thank you for your note. We appreciate it as it will be a very tough week.

Much love,
kim
