A Rollercoaster Ride

That's the best way to describe this week for "Our Girl".
She's Standing Strong, but has her good and her not so good times.
Please pray that more good times are on the horizon.

Phil. 4:13:
"I can do all things through

Christ which strengthens me......"

Pray On and STAND UP TO CANCER!!!!
XOXO,
S

Watching the Stand Up To Cancer special made me more insistent in my prayers for methods that won't be so debilitating in the process of 'treatment'.

With loving prayers to all of you for strength, peace, & renewal.

-Footprints in the Sand-
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”Mary Stevenson, 1936

Love to you all~

Today, I felt like I met a celebrity! As I was waiting to be seated at the Tower Cafe, I saw two lovely ladies who looked awfully familiar. I realized it was Robynn's mom and daughter and had to resist running up to them and giving them big hugs! After introducing myself to them (I was pretty sure your mom wouldn't remember me from high school), I learned that they were having a very special "Girls Day" while Robynn and Brian were in Napa celebrating their anniversary. What wonderful news to hear that Robynn is feeling well enough to spend some special time with her honey and that Grandma and Hailey got to spend a fun day together, too. Life is about treasuring the moments that make us smile and today I hope there were many!

Still praying,
Wendy
