Our Dear Aunt Dorothy & Uncle Joe

It is with a sadness that I can't put into words that I ask for more prayers for our family. Yesterday, we were stunned to find out that our Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Joe had been taken from us. I do not question their entrance into Heaven with our Magnificent Savior, for I am certain they have arrived. What I struggle with, is the hand that took them there.
As we waited across the street from their home, anxious for any information that would help us understand what had taken place, the senselessness was overwhelming. Shock and disbelief continued to close in. My ONLY comfort came from the fact that my Aunt and Uncle were devout disciples of the Lord. He had called on them many times to do His work and now He had called them home.
Our loss is tremendous, but their reward is eternal and awesome.
Please pray that we honor them with what they bestowed on us... hearts full of love, devotion, grace, compassion, forgiveness and faith.

My love to all of you and up to the heavens.
Pray On!

Prior to reading the Blog this morning I had read the morning paper and it left such a heaviness on my heart when reading about your Aunt & Uncle. Then to discover that your family has to face another challenge...this made me feel so much empathy, compassion & love for all of you. I can only mirror your comments about honoring their discipleship to the Lord. With heartfelt condolences!!

I pray that righteous anger does not turn to bitterness, that our enemy will not accomplish his plan for further destruction among the living. For years, consumed with fear for loved ones' health and safety (nicknamed "OSHA" for OPPRESSIVE Safety and Health Awareness), I keep telling myself, "If I believe what I say I believe, I would give them a one-way ticket to heaven TODAY!" If heaven and being with Jesus is the alternative, who would ask a loved one to stay here on the battleground? Army Goodell, faithful soldiers that you are, running the front lines and wearing the biggest targets, no doubt, may the truth of your precious aunt and uncle's entrance into the presence of the Lord bring comfort that outweighs your grief and be the very joy that draws others to our Savior. You encourage and strengthen me!
