They have paralyzed Uncle Sonny in hopes that this will help him gain strength. They are trying a different type of treatment with his ventilator and moved him onto his tummy. His oxygen and breathing has improved today and he is rescheduled for Friday if progress continues.
Yesterday was pretty uneventful, except for dialysis.

Tim just surprised me with an i-pod loaded with Christian music. I usually read spiritual books out load while with Uncle Sonny, but thought it would be a nice change if we could worship with song. I put one earpiece in Uncle Sonny's ear, one in mine and I laid beside him hand in hand enjoying inspiring praises. It was such a peaceful time together.

Our work is nowhere near done "Army Goodell"...

Pray ON!

Shelley, I know that it probably doesn't feel like it right now...or lately for that matter...but someone as generous as you, someone so willing to put others before herself, must surely have a wealth of happy things somewhere in your near future. I think one of the most precious gifts we can offer our children is the one of "example". I hope that someday I will be lucky enough to read the wonderful things written about the many children who have been blessed to have you in their lives. We will continue to pray for Uncle Sonny and ALL of you.

Oh my dear friend Shelley,
I can just picture you and U.Sonny holding hands and you not afraid to be hands on and to lie next to him-you are one of the truest example of Christ's hands here on earth.
Worship thru Christian music has to be one of my most favorite things in this world to do. I have lead our Vacation Bible School music for the past 20 yrs. and what a blessing it for me every time.
There is a new song by the group Mercy Me called Finally Home and how it makes me think of Robynn and all the dear ones that are waiting one day for us-I hope that you can find it-or e-mail or call me and I will track down a copy for you.
Brian are you taking care of yourself?I pray all the time for you my friend and my Brady and Hailey friends.
I am soo sorry that you are back into the hospital helping your dear Uncle-but he is so lucky.
Please tell your folks(if they do not read the blog)that my heart is full of strength for you all.Stand Strong and keep your eyes upwards and know that I am praying in hope and love for Wally's family and Jeffrey Johns and all the dear friends that are hurting I pray for God's peace to touch you.
I love you all,
Solider Miss Denise

Shelley - the vision of you and Uncle Sonny spending special time like that together along with the smile that must have been on your face when Tim presented you with that special ipod made my day. What a team you all make - a very special one!!

Good thoughts and prayers to Uncle Sonny and so sorry for the loss of young Jeffrey. Sometimes life just doesn't make sense...

I truly believe that God put's some people on Earth to lead by example.

To "be" compassion, to "be" hope, to "be"love & peace...and whatever "genes" you Goodell's have, you are all of these things and so much more!

With continued prayers & wishes for Uncle Sonny's highest good. Take good care...

In friendship~
