Bump In The Road

Well, darn it! I think I jinxed "Our Girl"!
(Yes, it's all my fault Robynn...sorry!)
I was braggin about how well she was doing last night and then she goes and gets sick on me!
She battled nausea and vomiting but said she felt much better this morning. She's takin it easy because her Mom was taking her to get a facial today and she wasn't gonna let anything keep her from it! You Go Girl!!

Please pray for no "yuckies" and comfort for Our Girl!

Pray On!

Sorry Robynn that the 'yuckies' decided to visit. Nothing like a little pampering, such as a facial to balance out when you feel icky.

I hope that your day out with your Mom was a nice outing and that as the day progresses you just feel better & better with no 'yuckies' in sight!!!

Prayers & blessings to all of you...may your weekend be filled with comfort & peace.

I just heard of your family's difficult journey, and the strength and fortitude you all are showing. It's amazing how strong you can be when you have to, isn't it?

My daughter Suzi works at Commerce Bank of Folsom, and she emailed me your website today. My 27 yr old son Michael, Suzi's brother, was critically injured in a car crash last June 10th - almost a year ago. He was a passenger in his own car, having told his friend he was too tired to drive, and handing the friend his keys... and the friend fell asleep at the wheel a short time later, careening off Hwy 50 at 70mph, into a grove of oak trees. The front passenger door (where Michael was sitting) was sheared off the car completely. Michael suffered a broken rt knee, broken rt femur, broken rib, broken rt elbow, broken rt forearm, jaw broken in 2 places, lacerated liver, numerous facial fractures, and diffuse axonal brain injuries - his brain shifted around insid his skull. He also suffered 5 separate and distinct brain traumas, any one of which could have killed him. Over 3 weeks in a coma, clinging to life - pneumonia, MRSA, more probes and CT scans and surgeries than I can even count - But he's a strong and determined young man - and he's had family and friends by his side since the crash. He's been in one medical facility or another for the last 11 1/2 months... but we're hoping to have him home before too long. He's inspired our whole family to be strong, for Michael and for each other. Tragedies like ours and yours aren't something anyone practices for - there's no chapter in a book that will prepare us for something like this. But with the love and support of friends, family, and the community (OH, what a wonderful community we live in!!!) we will find the strength to deal with whatever comes our way. Please know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers, and also know that He is holding you all in the palms of his hands.
