Hold Tight West Sac!

We are working on a memorial service for Robynn in your town;)
Please be patient with us, as we have so much to do.

I thought you would take comfort in knowing Father Jos came by last night and anointed her and we gathered around her holding hands and prayed together. When Father finished, Robynn immediately spoke in her sweet but quiet voice making sure we all knew how much she loved us and how she was so grateful for taking such wonderful care of her and her family. It is mostly a blur, but her absolute grace and presence of spirit resonated as we knelt before her, totally "in Awe"once again. It takes my breath away as I type...

God Bless you ALL!
Pray On!

Thank you Shelley for the 411 - West Sac will be so happy to know that we can celebrate her life together here at home where we all came to love her! :)

Moreover, thank you for the beautiful vision of some of your last moments with sweet Robynn who was special even in the very end...

Love, Kim

Dear Shelley,

I am "in Awe" at YOUR grace and presence of spirit! Thank you for not only helping to take care of Robynn and her family, but also for taking care of us, Army Goodell. You sensed we needed to know that Robynn was in peace at the end. Your gift of words so beautifully painted a picture of a loving, tender, and serene moment. Thank you!!! Nothing can prepare a husband to say goodbye to his wife or children to kiss their mommy for the last time, but your family has so beautifully united to provide strength and comfort to one another. You could not offer a more reassuring gift to Robynn! I know you will be okay because you will never stop helping each other. Robynn will never be gone as long as her memory lives in her faithful family.

I wish words could heal your suffering. You will never be far from my thoughts and I will always remember the lessons I've learned from your family. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING you need from us.

Sending you love and more love,
Wendy Grider

Hi Shelley - I just found your blog via My organized Chaos. I lost a very dear friend in August 2005 to melanoma. She was as close to me as my sister. I am so sorry for your loss and for the difficult road of healing you and your family have ahead. I am glad Robynn was surrounded by love, as our Melissa was.

I will pray for you, now and always.

Much Love,
Tara

the world is less of a place that we can see but a better place that we can't see because Robynn is all around us and all the people who showed the strength to hope when the odds were terrible. She won many, many, battles and got to see her kids, sister, husband, and loved ones do amazing things. Now she'll see them from above and smile in peace.

You were the first person that taught me a hug was special and shouldn't be wasted.....thank you!

So many wonderful words have been expressed and the love that has poured out from family, friends and the community are so important to share. But what I feel tonight knowing that Robynn is at peace is simple and quiet:

Silent Night, Holy Night

Yes, we are "In Awe" and will celebrate Robynn's life in private or with others as we each find a way to honor her memories. Thank you for sharing her journey with us, including those last precious moments when she obeyed the Lord's final request and went to her heavenly home.

In love and faith,
Jeannie Grider

We are so sorry for your loss. We are crying with you. Robynn will be missed by so many but her suffering has ended and she is now at peace, resting comfortably. What a support system she and your family have had...it's so amazing! At the same time, we can't imagine what you are going through right now. Robynn was so strong and such an inspiration. We know that she has made so many of us stop and hold our loved ones as tight as possible. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Shelley, Robynn was not the only Angel in our mist. You too are an Angel of God's Love and Grace sharing with your heart. Many many hugs and kisses are due you.

I think for all those you Loved our Angel Robynn find an angel ornament or tree top and dress it in Brown's and Pink's and we'll have Robynn with us always.
If any of those crafty friends of Robynn's can do this I would buy one or more.

Love to all the Hansen's and Goodell's. May God be with you, for I know Robynn's in the best place ever.

To know that Robynn was called away, so surounded by love from those she charished the most is a thought that brings peace. As her family you know her far better than we do, but I'm sure you can never get tired of hearing how much you meant to her. She will always be looking out for us.

Brian, as you know, we will be here for you and your family, we are only a few doors away.

Shelley,
Your words have inspired us all, we appreciate everything you have done to keep us informed, and a true part of the family (go army Goodell!)Please let us know what we can do to help.
All of your love,
Lindsay (and the West Sac Bunco group)

Both messages one from Wendy Grider and the other from Mike & Tammy Hall...just say everything I wanted to say.

The imagery of this circle of love, reminds me of how our Priests/Pastors, say during a wedding ceremony that the ring is symbolic of a love that has no beginning and no end...this was the case during these precious moments spent together before her journey homeward...so beautiful!

As a family...you all are so remarkable...I would love to adopt you! Who wouldn't love to have such special people as a part of their family?!

Thanks again for the posts...
Love,
Jill & Bob West

I think, once again, we are all "in awe" of not only Robynn, but the entire family. For Robynn to be literally surrounded in love and prayer as she walked thru Heaven's gates is an amazing gift I dont think every family would have been able to give. I pray that some day Brady and Hailey are able to look back at this blog and know deep into their soul how amazing their mom was and how although struggling to live she changed the lives of so many others so that we may live our lives to the fullest until we too cross thru Heaven's gates. Shelley, I am forever changed by your words. Your ability to make us laugh, cry and cheer with you is truly a testament to your faith and devotion to God and your family, thank you.

Brian,
Please let Brady know we love him and pray for him in this time of sadness. We will be here with open arms and loving hearts when he is ready to come back to school. Every time he smiles I will continue to see his mommy angel in him. Much love and sympathy, Mrs. Lockwood
