I Made It!

I arrived safely to find "Our girl" in good spirits and waiting to be picked up for a CAT scan. I immediately whipped out my stash of Smith's cookies, See's candie, fresh bagels and pretzels only to be told she couldn't eat anything...total buzz kill;( I have stowed them away so she may feast upon her return!
We did find out that her hemoglobin is 9.3 and needs to be higher. She will more than likely get another unit of blood tonight and possibly some platelets. We had a bout with the "yuckies" when she had to drink the contrast for the scan, but as usual she prevailed with flying colors.
She also received a vitamin K shot to help slow down the bleeding and is now getting some pain meds.
My arrival enabled Brian to get out of the room for a break and Roynn and I are enjoying watching Ellen.

More later!

Pray on!

You are a lucky girl Robynn!!

One sister hand delivering all of those yummy treats, and the other smothering your kiddos with the "other" type of kisses - you go girls!!!

Robynn - prove 'em all wrong as you always do - we'll be stalking your blog again tonight ... as usual :)

Miss Shelley, you and Robynn know how to have a good-time in the mostly unlikely places! With Smith cookies,See's candies, pretzels & fresh bagels, plus some girlie chit chat until Sweet Robynn can partake of the yummies, you seem to be making 'lemonade' out of 'lemons' once again!

We so appreciate the updates and are sending Internet hugs & smiles to you all.

Positive thoughts,prayer, & hopes!

Cookies, candy, bagels, and pretzels??? Sure I'll be there...what time? :) The amazing Goodell family reminds me of a well-known quote, "Life is what happens while you're busy making plans". Your posts reveal that you clearly know this and therefore, never waste a precious moment, making the best out of all the time God has given us. While you're waiting for tests, you feast. While you're in Houston for appointments, you play air hockey. While you're enduring chemo, you enjoy FFF in exotic destinations! Wow...you are truly inspiring to all who know you and to those who are following your journey via this blog.

My mom and I both follow your progress and are loyal "soldiers"! Today I was talking to her on the way home from work and asked if she'd had a chance to check the blog to see how you were doing. We talked about how in awe we were of your whole family's perseverance through all of the events you've endured this year. We agreed that you are all pretty remarkable. What fighters!!! Thank you for so unselfishly sharing this journey with us. We will ALWAYS be here cheering you on from the sidelines. Go, Robynn, Go!!!
