"On Our Knees" and Looking to the Lord

Dear Friends and Family,

Contrary to what other tests had indicated, the CT Scan results showed that the chemo is not working, so it has been discontinued. We are waiting to hear from MD Anderson to see if we have another treatment option. She has received a total of 3 units of blood today and is scheduled for another PET Scan at 11am tomorrow.(don't panic, this one won't cost $8000+ because she is "inpatient:) Yes...you may cheer!
The good news is; she ate some cereal, a couple grapes and a half of a Subway turkey sandwich and kept it down! She has even been free from nausea! That's Progress with a capital P!!!
She is resting peacefully and we are so thankful for that blessing. Thank YOU for your diligent prayers, we know He is listening. Now, we must "listen" to see what He asks of us...

Until then...keep the faith and PRAY ON Army Goodell!!!
We are "STANDING STRONG" and have no plans to disband!
Follow suit!!! That's an Order!

xoxo,
S

Oh dear Robynn,
I can only imagine what you must be feeling, but try your very best to not get discouraged....there are bumps in every road....some roads are just plain crappy, but if at first a treatment does not succeed...we will try and try again! You hang in there....you have so much love surrounding you and YOU CAN DO THIS!!! You are one tough cookie!!!! Oh, and way to go on keeping your food down today....unfortunately I kept all of my food down too....much of it should never have gone down in the first place :) We love you and WE ARE PRAYING!!!!!
God Bless,
Brandy

Robynn & Family,
Hi my name is Christine I am Michelle Oxford's sister I have met you a couple times before and remember that BEE-U-TEE-FULL smile! I also actually worked in the school office with Robynn's mother-in-law when I was in high school at South! Anyways I have checked the blog everyday several times a day (Yea I'm a stalker!) since you started and PRAY for your entire family several times a day. I am so sorry for what you are going through and just want you to know that even people like me who have a "couple degrees seperation" are inspired and humbled by you, you family, and your time in life right now. Everything that makes me mad or upset or frustrated (Those 4 boys of mine!!) I remind myself of Robynn! My best friend went through cancer treatment 3 years ago and was a fighter like Robynn and she is doing well even with her few after effects that were worth it and she mentioned a "out of the box" cancer center the site is www.envita.com she has heard of it through another survivor and asked me to mention it to you guys... see everyone if rooting for team Robynn!!! Well Good Bye for now I will be praying for you all. I am actually up North now in a little town called Windsor by Santa Rosa. So you have the prayer chain all over!!!- Christine Chavez

So, got some help on this next one . . . (Thanks Bekah!)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, becasue when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

Can't get much better than that! ;o) You are Queen of Perseverance! So looking forward to what the next options are! :)
And may I just say, Brandy, thanks so much for making me smile! I too kept too much of my food down today as well!:( But, Robynn for you, your orders are to eat, eat, eat and then relax! :)

Hi Robynn & Brian,

This is Janette Ponce your old neighbor. It has taken me this long to figure out how to leave a comment. Not as handy with this as your sister, who is doing a tremendous job by the way. I check the blog everyday and our prayers for you on Marshfield Way are overflowing. I walked to the mailbox yesterday and noticed the roses you planted. They are in full bloom and are just as beautiful as you are. Your courage and strength is amazing. Keep standing strong girl. We love you. God Bless you and the awsome support that you have. Robynn,

I was at Carol's tonight when we left you the message earlier. Immediately after that, Carol, her two daughters ages 12 and 9, and I all got on our knees in the livingroom and said a group prayer that He heals you completely. Hang in there Robynn! You can do it!!

We love you!!!!!
Love, hugs, and prayers!

Dear White Chocolate,
I will quote a few lines from an old Mahalia Jackson song:
"Be not dismayed whatever betide you, you need to know
(God will take care of you)
Beneath His wings of love abide you, you need to know
(God will take care of you)
Through days of toil when heart does fail
When dangers fierce your path assail, you better remember
God will take care of you,
Through every day
All of the way
God will take care of you; He will take care of you

All you may need
He will provide,
(God will take care of you)
Nothing you ask, my friend, will be denied,
(God will take care of you)

No matter what
May be the test
Lean, weary one
Safe in his rest
And you just remember that you know that God will take care of you".
Hang in there soldier, and lean on Him.

Prayers of love and hope are coming to you from Northern Minnesota. While we've never met, Shelley and Tim are dear to us, and we have followed the blog for a while.
We ask the Lord to "send His healing power, and may miracles and wonders be done by the name of His holy servant Jesus."
God Bless you and your family.
Stay Strong Shelley..
Love, Dan and Sharon

I am being reminded this morning that our God is an everlasting God. I was listening to the song Everlasting God by Lincoln Brewster and was praying for all of you. In the song he sings "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord." What better truth than that! I am adding the YouTube link so that you can be just as encouraged as I was this morning.
We love you guys!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP2nz6PG8KM

Dear Robynn, and wonderful family members:

You have personified the saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." Just know you aren't alone, we may not be enduring all of the unknowns that you've had to face...but we are here to lift you up, provide prayers, good thoughts and if we lived closer we would help with the little things like going to the store or picking up your mail.

In the meantime...God is good and looking after all of you. Keep up your strength, attempt to eat, and know that prayers are flying fast & furious on your behalf.

In friendship~
Jill West
