On the Road to Robynn!

I am headed to West Sacramento with the "birthday girl"! She wants to get there ASAP!
Aunt Robynn and Uncle Brian are awaiting her arrival with a YUMMY
Tres Leche cake that they made with love! Later tonight she gets a HUGE feast of sushi!
She's just a tad spoiled!;)

Love you all!
Pray for you all!

First, Callahan...Happy Birthday!!! It will be fun to spend time with family over your birthday.

Second, Hailey...I love your new look! Your hair cut is as adorable as you are!

Third, Robynn, I don't know how you muster the strength to get up and go after you have had the 'yuckies', because when I have had the flu I don't feel like doing anything.

Brian & Shelley enjoy the family vacation at Half Moon Bay with the rest of the Goodell crew...it should be just what the doctor ordered for one & all!!!

Sending positive thoughts, contiued prayers, & friendship always!

Blessings,
Jill West

Dear Hailey,
Today I shared your portion of the blog with my third grade class. Your generous display of love and affection has been infectious! I have already had students asking if they can donate their hair in honor of your mommy! I think what you did was very brave. Sometimes it is hard to share very private things with other people. You and your mom (your whole support network really) have changed peoples lives by your willingness to share your stories. Today Hailey, you taught an entire class of 9 year olds, all the way across the country, how to be generous in spirit and action. Because of you, my students have learned how something as little as a haircut can be so big! Thank you for the inspiration!

For Robynn:
A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the oak tree's leaves away. Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark until the oak was tired and stark. But still the oak tree held its ground while other trees fell all around.......
The weary wind gave up and spoke "How can you still be standing, Oak?" The oak tree said, "I know that you can break each branch of mine in two, carry every leaf away, shake my limbs, and make me sway. But I have roots stretched in the earth, growing stronger since my birth. You'll never touch them, for you see, they are the deepest part of me. Until today, I wasn't sure of just how much I could endure. But now I've found, with thanks to you, I'm stronger than I ever knew."

Hope you all have a terrific time at the beach. I will be thinking of you and hoping the weather is just gorgeous for you all. I love Hailey's new hair cut. What a remarkable little girl at such an age. What proud parents you should be of both your beautiful children.
My prayers, thoughts and love are always with you.
Love Little Kimmy June

Hi guys :)

I know I already told you to have a good time by the sea, but I was so touched by Kelly K's story of the Oak that I just had to jump on again.

Robynn - how perfect that story is (beautiful, Kelly!) for you! Such a strong and amazing woman with roots stretched all over the USA and so deeply planted in so so many hearts (like mine). Continue to be strong girl ~ there is only one you and we are all so lucky to be a part of your "root system".

May the only mighty winds that you endure be the gentle breeze of the ocean along with the truest and deepest love of your wonderful family :)

xoxo
Kim
